Movie of the Week: The Hobbit

The Hobbit” follows the main character ‘Bilbo Baggins’, who is swept into an quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by a dragon. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining the company of thirteen dwarves led by a legendary warrior.

Album: Unorthadox Jukebox by Bruno Mars

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars was born on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii. By the late 2000s, he started finding success by writing songs for other popular artists such K’Naan’s “Wavin’ Flag,” the theme song for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. After several years as one of the pop music’s premier songwriters, he broke out as a singer in his own right with the 2010 hit “Nothin’ on You.” His new album is called Unorthadox Jukebox and features the single ‘Locked Out of Heaven’.

Interesting laws!

Denmark: Attempting to escape from prison is not illegal, however, if one he is caught he is required to serve out the remainder of his sentence.

Israel: Bicycles may not ridden without a license.

Isle of Jersey: It is against the law for a man to knit during the fishing season because they needed every man to help with the fishing during the busy seasons.
