Movie of the week: Taken 2

Bryan Mills, the former CIA man who rescued his daughter Kim from some Albanian human traffickers in the film ‘Taken’, is being targeted by the families of the men he killed. When he goes to Istanbul on a job, he invites Kim and her mother, Leonor, whose marriage is on the rocks to join him. Album of the week: ‘Battle Born’ by the Killers

The Killers are an American indie-rock band. Hailing from Las Vegas, they rose to fame with the release of their debut album, Hot Fuss in 2004. The line-up of the band is Brandon Flowers on lead vocals and keyboards, Ronnie Vannucci Junior on drums, Mark Stoermer on bass and vocals and Dave Keuning on guitar and vocals. ‘Battle Born’ is the name of their new album, which they released after a hiatus.

Amazing fact of the week: Giraffes

It’s not easy to catch a giraffe when it is sleeping, because they get so little of it! Always vigilant for predators, giraffes just sleep for a few minutes at a time, and usually only get about 30 minutes total in a single day.
